Squirrel or rabbit?

Neither!

Itโ€™s the southern viscacha. This rodent lives in South America & is a skilled climber that inhabits mountainous areas.

A gregarious critter, the viscacha lives in colonies, which consist of multiple family units that can be as large as 75 individuals.

Bet you didn't know this?

The colours on a barbers pole usually reflected the blood and bandages used to clean up during bloodletting.

Patients grasped a rod or staff tightly to make their veins show. Then barbers cut open their arms and bled them. The red and white pole is still used to identify barbers.

Did you know that in 1884 that the first production-standard electric car capable of being reproduced and sold to the public was unveiled? Did you know that in the early 1900s 1/3 of all vehicles on the road were electric? They started to quickly disappear around 1920 with the introduction of petrol and Henry Ford.
Ferdinand Porsche produced an electric vehicle called 'P' in 1898.

To please Putin, universities purge liberals and embrace patriots.

2 weeks before the start of his 25th year as Russiaโ€™s supreme political leader, Vladimir Putin made a sweeping proclamation: โ€œWars are won by teachers.โ€

The remark shed light on a campaign he is waging: to imbue the countryโ€™s education system with patriotism, purge universities of Western influences & quash any dissent among professors & students on campuses that are often hotbeds of political activism.
