One year ago when I didn't think I'd make it through the night. #chronicillness sucks & so does our healthcare system, but the love and tenderness we are able to show each other is beautiful. Here's a blog I posted recounting complications from surgery that were made so much more manageable by the love and support of friends, family, and healthcare workers.

A very happy SunBRAY to you all.

It's been a very difficult few weeks for almost everyone I've spoken to. If you're clambering around, trying to find your footing in the slippery mud pit of #depression, I'm so sorry. I see you. I'm in it too. And I love you.

We will find our way out, I promise.

Only a few times have I had to bandage a #donkey 's wound, but earlier this week, Bodhi, scraped his leg. I normally recommend washing it out, get some topical antibiotics on it, antimicrobial spray & fly spray & leave it to air out & heal itself, but Bodhi keeps licking his wound, making it worse.

#Donkeys aren't stubborn, they're smart & perceptive. You gotta give them time. Build their trust. You don't "break" donkeys. You should take your time. They deserve your time.🩷🫏

I cannot recommend enough, the newly released 'Signs of Life' from @neilhimself & #fourplaystringquartet. There's nothing else in the world like it. It's haunting, beautiful, & moving. #NeilGaiman has a lovely singing voice which is a treat to hear.🥹
Side note: the stunning cover #art by #ShaunTan might be a tad spooky for even big #dogs who think that they're ruff, tuff, stuff; so be mindful when admiring the cover (wait for it in the vid🐾)

This video is two edited together: the first half is a closeup of the record needle as 'Signs of Life' spins. The camera pans out to show the whole record spinning and then zooms out to the cover art and back again. Then the video transitions to a sped up video (mastodon has video size limits which makes for interesting editing haha) anyway, it's me standing in front of a mirror holding the record art in front of my face which has a beautifully painted skull on it. In the bottom right hand corner, my black and white great dane mix growls when I have the cover over my face and then stops when I move it away. I do this a few times.
