@law_geek@PandaChronicle The waits for kindle books tend to be longer so sometimes I put holds on both the kindle and print versions of a book. In those cases I usually get the print versions first. But I typically have such a long reading list that there's something I want available even if I have to wait months for a particular book.

@TheJen@Alice The reason why the shingles vaccination is not offered to everyone who has had chicken pox (and why certain other vaccinations are age-restricted) is because it's only ever been tested in adults over 50 and therefore has only been approved by the FDA for adults over 50. Presumably it hasn't been tested in younger adults because shingles is typically mild in younger adults, though some young folks do get nasty cases of shingles.
