Anyone else has a cat that tells them to go to bed every night :neocat_angel_pleading: ? I was initially very surprised when my mommy cat started acting like Morgana from #Persona5 and would headbutt and meow at me to go to sleep.

She'd jump on the my desk and deliberately block my screen, meow, then jump on my bed and scream at me. She'd only stop when I'd switched off the lights and lay on my bed. She'd then curl up at my feet to sleep. :neocat_flop_sleep:

My smol cat doesn't care. I guess it's mommy cat's maternal instinct?

@GottaLaff They're trying to control the Court. The orange swamp monster thinks he's emperor. The Court needs to continue imposing reasonable, legal guardrails. I feel confident that's what's going to happen.

The defendant isn't a king or an emperor, he's just a sore loser who needs to face the same consequences anyone else would. And, frankly, that's not happening as quickly as it might in other cases because - my assumption - the loser's sycophants are so quick to become crazed & violent.

In the J6 DOJ trial (the big one) yesterday was Trump's deadline for filing pretrial motions.

(See attached minute order)

No surprise, his lawyers filed a bunch of motions just before the deadline.

Here's the thing about defense motions in criminal proceedings: Defendants are given lots of leeway to file motions that don't have a chance. The lawyers run into trouble only if they lie or misrepresent facts.

This is because of how much is at stake in criminal cases.
