Saw a post on here recently in my feed from someone that I no longer follow (it was a retoot) and it reminded me that the reason I no longer followed them is because they asked if they could give me some feedback on my song, and I said sure, and then they sent 3-4 PRIVATE messages telling me my voice sounded fake, my drums sounded dead, and proceeded to give me pointers on what vocal comping was 💀

FYI no streaming service pays more than US $0.01 per stream. And that’s at the very top end, with a premium paying customer in a premium market.

I have heard some “decent” (meaning, believable) AI-generated songs, but most of them are cringe in some way.
And none rise to the level of art, because art is about human emotion and experience. At best, it’s mediocre pablum, a synthesized average meant to mimic what’s “typical” in whatever genre. It’s bland content, even when it could pass as human (content, not art).
It’s sad/funny how “prompt engineers” are sharing it as if it’s something to be proud of, tho.

It's funny how they recognize their own creativity in writing the lyrics (or "texts" lol) because otherwise it's just generic AI trash, but don't seem to get that the music (which they definitely didn't write) is, by their own logic, generic AI trash and nothing personal or creative at all. 😂

Nazis killed ppl with disabilities.
So I get annoyed at all the hypocrites who put “Woke AF” or “Antifascist” or “ally” in their bio, but then can’t be bothered to do the bare minimum on here by labeling images with AltText for those with vision impairments.
If you struggle to come up with AltText, you can use the Alt4Me hashtag; there are many ppl on here who will write it for you. Then you just edit your toot and copy-paste it into the text box after hitting “edit” on the image.

I’ve found that one key element to being happy is being grateful. And a key element to being grateful is recognizing that the good things in your life are not guaranteed. This recognition often stems from the experience, at some point in your life, of not having those good things. When you have gone without the good things, you don’t take them for granted so easily.
Some of the most miserable people I know have been given many good things their whole life, they don’t know how good they have it.

I am not very good at taking compliments, or even remembering what they were after the fact. It’s like my brain just pushes them away before they can even make their way into my psyche. So I try to write them down when I can, to refer back when I feel down on myself.

I haven’t written anything down since 2019. 😬

What’s the nicest compliment you’ve ever received?

A lady once told me I had nice handwriting (even though I think it looks like chicken scratchings); I guess it’s elegant.
