@OnePlanet @luckytran Same in Vegas. My doctor came into the exam room, saw my mask, and exclaimed, "Do you have Covid?!" I don't (so far) because I always mask in medical buildings. 😷

I kind of agree. Saying “use open source/foss” as a magic incantation to every problem with non-open source software is ignorant as fuck.

It tells me you don’t care about the problem at hand, what the right solution for the issue in context is, or anything of use.

You only care that I follow your belief system.

This kind of shit is so bad that I reflexively avoid (f)oss because the ideologues pushing it have about made me allergic to it.

Bandcamp has its problems, not least with passing off. (One band I know was surprised to see its albums for sale. Bandcamp didn’t even respond to comment requests, although did eventually take down the pages.) But I’ll be sorry to see it receive death from a thousand cuts – or a few really big ones. Which looks like where things are heading.

@cbarbermd Philips is suing me for more than the full price of a broken heart monitor that their shipper wouldn't accept with a prepaid label. I would happily return it if someone from my doctor's office or the company would take it.
