Found my first issue with using a Dev Drive, and wanting to have access to it from WSL: apparently the way Dev Drives mount in Windows is not compatible with the WSL auto-mounting.
Why does this matter? Docker Desktop (in WSL 2 mode) can't mount a Dev Drive folder.
Do I dump WSL 2 mode for Docker? Or do I dump Dev Drive? Tough choice, but I suspect I dump the Dev Drive.
On #Windows, the link speed of my onboard #Realtek network adapter is stuck on 100 Mbps. Tried updating/reinstalling the driver, checked the switch and cabeling, no luck. (Switch/cable produce 1Gbps as expected when connected to a different computer.)
Couldn't find a proper solution on Google. Any ideas?

Linux desktop is sorely missing good ad integration. Try to search “how to view ads on linux” and I bet you can't find anything at all. There isn't even a stand-alone app. Not everyone is able/willing to run a Windows VM just for basic ad viewing at the OS level.

IT-Abteilung lehnt die Anfrage einer neuen Kollegin (die gerade noch Deutsch lernt) ab, die Systemsprache von #Windows auf Englisch umzustellen. Die Begründung: "Wir können keinen Support für andere Sprachen außer Deutsch leisten." Ist es naiv, zu denken, dass ein IT-Administrator gut genug Englisch können sollte, um für dieses auch Support leisten zu können? Zumal die meisten Hilfestellungen online ja eh auf Englisch sind. Ich denke, ich kenne die Antwort 🙈 #einmalmitprofis
This was tried a couple of years ago, but there some issues with mingw - so kudos to the folks that investigated and fixed those (sorry that I don't have links)!
Next step, the MSVC builders, which will require bumping the version of Clang that's used to build LLVM first...
