Last week was a whirlwind of wandering in southern New Mexico, from Silver City to Alamogordo. The weather was very cooperative, with relatively low wind until the day I drove home. The snap happy week continued at Gathering of Nations of Friday.

#Rafting season has begun. Los Rios River Runners is my "go-to" for the Rio Grande and the Rio Chama. Whitewater typically last until early June (varies based on year/snowfall). Float trips are available into October.
Confluence of Comanche Creek and Rio Costilla in the Valle Vidal unit of the Carson National Forest. Nice oxbow. The rock formation is known as Comanche Point.
