Hello my Mastodon #friends. How was your #Christmas? I had a really hard time with my #mother. We assume her dementia is a behavioural variant frontotemporal #dementia that causes emotional problems and bad behavior. I was exhausted when I got #home#yesterday. I even got off the train in Pasila, too early. 🙈 I had a migraine yesterday and #today. But guess what? I had a #date today and we had so much fun. He drove for 2,5 hours to take me out for a #dinner and now he's driving back home. 🫶 😘

I've got another doctors appointment #today. This time it's my orthopedic surgeon. If he tells me that everything is fine and that I don't need to see him for a few months I'll probably see about switching to a new surgeon. It's not that he isn't any good, it's his office staff. Probably some of the most incompetent people I've ever seen work in a doctors office. I got the distinct feeling from him last time that he was aware and that he had no control over hiring and firing.
#today we just ended our cornfest 2023. Our total ears of #sweetcorn brought to the table from the #garden this season was 197. This is not bad but our third planting ended up a little disappointing because I did not manage to feed the last row of corn enough for a variety of reasons, but lesson is learned for next year! (If I count the 4 ears the squirrels stole we grew 201 ears) Oh, yes, we also have several tons of #tomatoes (lost count) #gardening #Allotment #growden #NewEngland
The #gym has two massage chairs and I chose a full body #massage after #exercising. 🙂 Oh it felt so good. The chair sometimes held on too tightly and that was a bit #scary. I became a bit claustrophobic. 😬 My arms were stuck inside of it. #today
An hour of #training at the #gym and my nose was bleeding. Nice. Do any of you have the same problem as me: when the heating is on and the air dries, my nose bleeds? I have a humidifier. I should start using it. #today#suomimastodon#finland
It's weirdly convenient that Amazon decided to bundle all my orders into one box...Which is arriving tomorrow, I applaud their smart thinking.
However, this rushes my deadline for getting roasted coffee beans. I will put an order in for some roasted beans from a local place on Wednesday; after finishing an errand which I've put off for a while.
I'm chuffed about being able to enjoy coffee on my days off and drinking tea during the work week!
Oof, I forgot how much anxiety powers my walking ability. I got to my appointment site over 35 minutes early. The scenery is lovely so I'm feeling pretty chuffed about today.
After the GI Consult, I'll be able to get a metabolic blood test redone to figure out why some of my results were so low.
