Ukrainian intelligence, together with Syrian rebels, are killing Russian mercenaries in #Syria, the #Kyiv Post reports.
Since the beginning of the year, rebels backed by Ukrainian fighters have launched numerous attacks on Russian military facilities under the control of Russian forces in Syria.
"Several people were killed in alleged Israeli airstrikes outside of #Aleppo, Syria’s defense ministry said early Monday. According to reports, the attack targeted a copper plant in the town of Hayyan, north of Aleppo in northern #Syria. Probably the most cynical but also widespread manipulation is when #Hamas supporters post photos from #Syria presenting them as photos from #Gaza and #Palestine. Which is quite popular trick, because Assad’s merciless war on Syrian civilians produced thousands of dramatic photos of ruined towns and people bombed, executed or poisoned with chemical weapons. If you search for “killed Arab civilians” to feed your daily posting schedule, you will mostly find photos from Syria. Most absurdly, people like Jackson Hinkle support Assad and Russia and condemn killing of Arabs in Palestine at the same time…

So that you know, this video posted today by #SyrianGirl account with description “Yemen Houthi forces Score a direct hit in US destroyer” gained nearly 700k views, 2.3k shares and 7k likes… and it’s entirely false.
Users quickly identified the original as 2013 video from Norway naval exercise. The “Syrian Girl” account only added some subtitles in Arabic.
The account has been posting such fakes for years, starting from inventing incredible conspiracy theories to discredit the official OPCW investigation into #Assad chemical attacks against civilians in #Syria and then every single fake, mostly produced in #Russia.
After 75 years of failure, one would imagine that a people would learn what works and what doesn’t, both from their own experience, as well as the experience of others.
#WarOfndependence that began in 1947 was first a #civilWar between #Arabs and #Jews in #Palestine, and then a multi-state war… from at least five sovereign countries—#Egypt, #Transjordan, #Syria, #Iraq, and #Israel—as well as small contingents from others. It was a war fought village by village and town by town, and it resulted in massive population displacements on both sides.
