Yesterday after work I drove to East #finland with a rental car. (That was the first time I drove this year.) There was a car accident on the road, and a traffic jam. We got heavy rain.. I got lost once. Once the navigator said the road was blocked but it wasn't. But I did it and #today I saw my #parents. 😍 #AlzheimersSucks I haven't told you but my mother has #dementia now as well. #suomimastodon#roadtrip

This was my first time on the Faroe Islands (2023). A travel company said that 8 days is enough. 🙄 I’ve been there 12 and still want to go back. So beautiful 🤩

But it is always merely a stop during the journey, sometimes for a drink, or some food, or gasoline.

Wandering about the grounds at Blickling House we took a wrong turn, but we're rewarded by finding this beautiful cluster of small-leaved lime (Tilia cordata). They believe they are about 600 years old.
Rociada, west of Las Vegas, is a fusion of two villages, Upper and Lower Rociada. Other nearby communities, like Pendaries and Gascon, though technically in Mora County, also use the Rociada postal address.
We've been in London, doing a few London things. The other day, we went to Kew Gardens. We visited the Temperate (as in climate) House and Kew Palace, but spent most of the day walking around admiring their trees.
El Malpais National Monument | The jagged, desolate landscape is a volcanologist’s playground. A million years of volcanic activity sculpted the landscape. Numerous volcanoes and lava flows generated the field. The most recent volcanic activity was about 800 years ago.

We visited the Dun Beag broch, an iron age roundhouse fort. Imagine having dry stonewall skills so good that your works still persist thousands of years later!
#Sunrise at White Sands. Normally, it is a challenge to get to the dunes before the sun rises, because the gate opens after sunrise. However, they open the gate PRIOR to sunrise during the White Sands Balloon Invitational in early September.
