#Apricat silently judging my #reading decisions.
OK in my defense, it was slim pickings in that #Book sale and it looked compelling. I didn't know about Peterson's notoriety then. But even if I did I would still read it because I am the sort to read peoole I don't agree with 🤭 My beef with this book is that it needs a good edit. But then, once you do that, this book will sound less "philosophical" than it aspires to be.
Generally he sounds like a grumpy old uncle. 🤣
Is it futile to tame the deluge of information? Well, I'm trying anyway by simplifying, streamlining and yes, deleting stuff.
My system hinges on #RSS and hopes to capture them into #Obsidian
Last night I finished #TheCityWeBecame amd it was one of my favorite #books in a while. Wondering if I should jump straight into the sequel or read something else in between?
Any other recommendations along the lines of this?
Yesterday I got author copies of my most recent book, a collection of short stories titled Where Rivers Go To Die. They look lovely and the red tones make me want to change my favourite colour from blue to red. You can find yourself a copy of this book on online stores.
These are stories I've written over twenty years, since the earliest I first wrote circa 2003-4
So the good news continues as my book, Where Rivers Go To Die, makes it to the #BSFA longlist for Best Collection, shortly after it became a finalist at the Philip K Dick Awards. Yay!
The BSFA this year is a very long list with lots of good books to discover and put on your reading list for 2024.
I should undertake challenging #reads.
instead of these #doomscrolling feeds.
But I've no strength to face
an escape from the base
of #Maslow's hierarchy of needs.
