You know what works really well in a rainstorm? Oil painted paper #umbrellas. The oil on the surface stops water from getting through, and the wooden supports prevent the umbrella from bending inside out in a big wind (a big bonus IMHO). Plus, no #plastic parts and more environmentally friendly. The only issue is they don't fold up and fit into a small bag.
Lots of designs out there. Decorative too. Just make sure the whole top surface is painted. If your city has a Chinatown, you can usually find them there. #environment#rain#weather#umbrella

Misty morning reflection. I feel a bit melancholy today. Wondering when warm weather will return. Woke up to a chilly 46 degrees and damp conditions for the sixth day in a row. At least the view is nice.
Can someone come to the Mid-Atlantic and take away the #rain for me? I haven't mowed my lawn in nearly 2 weeks now because there has been so much of it. And my lawn just...holds the rain, so I need at least 2 dry days to get the lawn where it is actually able to be mowed without issue.
How's the #weather by you? Still grey skies here...for now...
idk if it has something to do with the fact that i live in a literal #desert, but for me, #rain isn't sad. rather, rain is life. it waters the plants that have to deal with months-long dry spells. its sound is comforting and easy to get lost in. that unique rain smell? that's bacteria. the air is full of life that we can only perceive when it's raining. rain is much more lively than a clear sunny day by far. i thank the gods whenever it rains, because rain is special to me
Color theory, in general, fascinates me. Have you ever considered the subliminal effects of color on mood? What you wear, the color of your bedroom or even the colors of the food you eat all contribute to your environment.
