As a reminder: #wireplumber is the session manager and therefore the "brain" of #PipeWire. The later is intentionally kept simple, not handling anything policy related.
The version has one fix I'm particular happy about:
Fixed camera device deduplication logic when the same device is available
through both V4L2 and libcamera, and the libcamera one groups multiple V4L2
devices together.
Just got back from the local #tdose conference. I might have gone a bit overboard in preparing some #sxmo material to go in style. Fellow mobile linux project #ubports had a nice stand and #nlnet had lots of stickers to share, including a #postmarketos one.
Hey, is there anyone in #Leipzig or at least germany who thinks they are able to fix my bricked #oneplus6 and #oneplus6t ? I have multiple and I managed to brick them all after experimenting with #postmarketos and #gnomemobile for a while. I don't know how I managed to so consistently brick them.. I tried some stuff recommended on xda devs and other forums but never got them to work again.
It's been a while since we gave an update on the #postmarketOS#systemd integration, so here's an update post (and instructions on how to get involved).
Gnome Search on a smartphone is a killer feature. You can do so much useful stuff and customize everything to your liking.

Do you know when you have hung on to a mobile phone for too long? When you get a quote to sell it and the phone is worth $2 USD. Sleep well Pixel2. I'll find something for you to do in the #homelab.
Hello.
Is someone has problem with #oneplus6t on #postmarketos and #phosh ?
I do an update 15 days ago and reboot. And since, the device boot to gdm. When i enter my pin code, i have black screen and retour to gdm.

@Linux@sailfishosnews Just what Linux mobile needs...subscription bullshit. Sorry, but sticking with #postmarketOS. I wish these companies would just make good hardware and properly integrate said hardware into the mainline kernel and surrounding ecosystem (mesa, freedesktop, ALSA UCM, libcamera/megapixels, etc) rather than just trying to be yet another segregated mobile ecosystem. Let the existing software projects handle the user experience.
#postmarketOS just landed the last MR needed to make the #libcamera + #PipeWire camera stack work on the #Librem5 and #PinePhone by default, using the new software ISP shipped in libcamera 0.3.
So if you have such a device: just update and go install apps like Snapshot, Warp, Decoder etc. You can even use it with Firefox and - very soon - Chromium.
Note that this does not replace #megapixels or #millipixels - those continue to be the default camera apps.
I am blown away by #Jolla's new subscription model... I can understand why it is necessary, but at this point I would go with #PlasmaMobile with #PostmarketOS: open source as I wish #SailfishOS was
