It's funny that some people (mostly CEOs) think replacing all jobs with AI and robots is a good idea. However, I can't help but imagine the chaos it would cause in the long run.
There are many large and #serious#problems in the world. Many people are victimized by the #system in a thousand different ways. This is not their story; it is not about their problems, but this should not be seen as minimizing them.
I'd like to talk about something a little closer to home: #employee#abuse in the #tech field. I've been in this field for <mumble> years and worked for tiny companies, medium consulting companies, large orgs, and as a one-man independent contractor.
I never cease to be impressed by what people are still doing today with #Quake.
@mattsramblings has made #Portal style portals in Quake, allowing real time views of what's on the other side of the portal regardless of position or rotation and it should be able to run on period hardware more or less.
It took me awhile, but I finally got through Test Chamber 14! Took me awhile to figure out the best way to route a laser from one timeline to the other. Need to finish this someday so that I can try the new co-op! They even have split screen!
