Given the amount of #injustice in the #starwars universe I'd probably barely make it to #jediknight before succumbing to the dark side, I'd react so strongly to it and not want to be restricted by the #jedi or #republic
#TheAcolyte is the #StarWars I'm most excited about – finally live-action moves outside of the 60 years of the #Skywalker saga. I have loved all the #HighRepublic books that I've read, and it's easily the most different of the Star Wars eras in both #Legends and #Canon.
I think the trailer is edited too quickly for people to be able to take in the differences in the #jedi robes, the designs of the buildings, etc. I hope I won't be disappointed and think it all still looks the same.
"Contemplating their own rarefied status, members of Yale’s secret societies aren’t entirely sure what to do with it. They face the question roiling America’s elite campuses taken to its logical extreme: whether the modern social-justice politics advanced by college students can coexist with the staggering selectivity and privilege that benefit those same students."
It is sometimes hard to move on after wrapping up a really phenomenal game... last night attempts were made with limited success to get back into the swing of #JediSurvivor
The thing people get wrong about The Force is that it's not a tool to be used. You can't say "The Force isn't Light or Dark, the intentions of the wielder make it so." Well, you can but you'd still be wrong.
We identify people as being sensitive to The Force for a reason. Because the Force is alive. The Cosmic Force that surrounds us. The Living Force which binds us together. Why else do you think the Force can have a Will if it's just some inert object or power to be manipulated by our Will?
Remember, the phrase goes "The Force is my Ally, and a powerful ally It is." Not my Tool. Not my Weapon. My Ally. You cannot be an Ally to something inert.
A fundamental difference between Stars War, and Trek, is that #StarWars, especially under #Disney, is rather chaste while #StarTrek was created by the world's horniest man & no matter how hard they try #Paramount can't stop the characters fucking ghosts, turning into fuck salamanders and/or horning it over 3 different versions of #Spock
Damn, #PathofDeceit was the hardest #StarWars book for me to get through, knowing what happens. I had it spoiled for me accidentally shortly after it came out, and the Downer ending really put me off from Phase 2 of #StarWarsTheHighRepublic. I tried skipping it and going on to other books but I was just so lost. (1/2)
I managed to finish it on my shifts at work, and god damn its so dark. Both #jedi die, not a single other protagonist in the book gets anything remotely resembling their goals at the start of the story, a side character is forced to leave her dead girlfriend in a glacier in order to survive herself, and the cult's duplicitous leader is in a stronger position to enact her goals. It's so damn depressing I don't think I could have waited for #PathofVengeance
