I have a question for #bookstodon I've been thinking about writing #cozy#mysteries
in line with the genres I already write. However, I write for fun and for my "happy place", I'm wondering if there has to be a murder in a cozy mystery or if I could deal with other crimes and if they can be written without all the frenetic/zany side characters? Is that a different mystery subgenre?
One of the things we did "back in the day" (say early 2000's) was have author groups where maybe 5-10 authors were in a group, we had a website, a newsletter, I guess now there'd be social media presence, and we each agreed to promote the group in each others' newsletters .... I suppose that's out of fashion, but just thinking I'd love to get more 👀 on my books.

T'was a busy year of book sales for Mr. Fox & his floating bookshop.
But now, as he closes for Xmas, a customer is rushing forth for just one more gift...
Heated up the giant cinnamon buns I got at Costco and am having them with Snow Milk. 😊
Snow Milk (my own recipe)
1 mug of milk
Microwave it for 1 minute, 3Xs
(if you microwave it for 3 minutes, it’ll boil over)
Stir in 2-3 heaping tsps of sugar to taste
Add 1 very small drop of vanilla extract (or almond extract if you prefer)
Stir
Blow on it, it’s hot!
Enjoy and feel cozy.
I'm Jessa. The only social media that I feel comfortable with is Mastodon so here I am.
I'm fascinated by #AI, particularly #ChatGPT so I founded a community for women who love AI called Femularity.ai. Would to connect with other AI explorers.
