I've had the idea of offering "product design review office hours" for years now. Pay $price to spend an hour discussing your project with a ✨real designer✨ (me) and receive (hopefully) valuable feedback.
I believe there could be potential in this idea, but I'm unsure if people would actually be willing to pay for it.
One of the team's favorite games is Foot Down. We make a circle of water bottles and people try to stay upright on their bikes for the longest. Once you put a foot down, you're out. And the circle gets smaller and smaller as more people are eliminated. Here's one of tonight's games. #mountainbike#coaching#colorado

Things need to get moving this week. And tomorrow is my birthday.
So please, dear Universe, hear me out.
Thanks in advance. 😘
Las cosas tienen que ponerse en marcha esta semana. Además, mañana es mi cumpleaños.
Así que por favor, querido Universo, sé amable y escúchame.
Muchas gracias. 😘
A teacher I visited today used the wheelofnames.com service to randomly draw students to do something. Personally, my favorite is the Swedish-developed service Toolie!
Worked with an #acting#coaching client on how different roles take up different amounts of space and how we maintain safety and control as an actor even as our characters can lose their self-control. Cool to see them pivot the objectives they pursued and played to change the space they take up.
This is “Ro Ro Wreck Your Bout.” For a few years I had the pleasure of being her soccer coach. She was one of the best players I’ve ever had on my teams.
She recently got into roller derby and invited me to see her bout. It was so awesome. She’s an absolute beast. A brutal jammer.
And this sport is a great confidence builder for girls. It’s a place where they can realize their power and personality. I’m a new fan.
Just worked with an #acting#coaching client on a role they're playing soon, and working lines to see what can be "said" beyond, within, in addition, with and through the words as written. Cool clarifying specific possibilities for how those moments go. Seeing them finding the performance and discovering was great.
Coaching an #acting#coaching client today on a role they're playing soon, and the overarching interpretation of the character's arc will infuse the character with different stuff depending how production wants to go (the director's vision and such). It was good exploring many options and seeing what is more fun and interesting already, even this early in the prep.
Worked with an #acting#coaching client on a role they’re going to play, and had them go too far, too broad with it. When we scaled it back down we found a whole new version it can be played with if they and the director want to. Nice to discover stuff.
Just worked with an #acting#coaching client on role they're auditioning for soon. Finding who the characters are, how they move and react to the world was fun. Honing in on how they do what they do, including connect to the #characters in the #scenes helps build fun options.
Worked with an #acting#coaching client on two things just now. 1: playing with status in a scene and how that transforms the deliveries and relationships, 2: using the words as toys to explore what you're doing and finding unusual or at least not obvious/casual rhythms, pronunciations and emphasis. So cool finding new stuff we didn't know was there.
Worked with an #acting#coaching client on a scene shooting soon, and among other things we played with knowing what your character is after while simultaneously not believing the other characters are being totally honest with what they're saying. Cool how perception and intention can interplay.
Worked with an #acting#coaching client on different #styles/tones. Different shows, time periods, directors, writers and more vastly change some of the how we do what we do in a scene, and experimenting with that in general and adapting our work to it in specific is valuable. It was so cool discovering how doing some material in two different director's styles shifted things.
Found while working on a pivotal scene with an #acting#coaching client cool discoveries about what the #scene has happening inside of it, in its turns and reveals. As my client wisely said, even if the final performance ends up different these are good pieces to find. I'm excited to see their #performance grow and deepen.
Worked with an #acting#coaching client on material they're going to play, and explored how it can go viscerally. How much space you take up and how hard you metaphorically push the other characters can transform how you do what you do.
Found a solid through line for #character in a script an #acting#coaching client is performing soon. It's not the only basis the character could behave from, but it's fun and can be a solid jumping off point moment to moment. Gratifying to see their character developing into a whole "person."
