The vessel is moving through the temporary #BlackSea corridor. The #shipping route was opened in August 2023, weeks after Russia's unilateral termination of the Black Sea grain deal threatened Ukraine's ability to ship out its grain.

Russia “likely planned to use its LST force to launch significant amphibious assaults during the invasion,” but now typically uses the ships for logistical support.
According to the authorities of the Russian occupation in Crimea, half a million people are without electricity. That’s almost a quarter of the entire population of that occupied peninsula. The lack of electricity disabled all of the water supplies.
The worst part of the storm hasn’t even arrived yet.
