The French video game industry has been just as impactful as their Japanese, American, and British counterparts.

Here’s the major reason why: the Thomson 8-bit microcomputer.

It was the 80s microcomputer that took off in France. I’ve never touched one physically but I have emulated it. And I played a lot of great games on it: Sorcery, Mission: Liftoff, Androides.

That machine was home to so many classics. And it looked cool!

#Security nightmare:

#Microsoft’s new #Windows11 feature, #Recall, makes the #SciFi movie #TotalRecall almost look like a fairy tale by comparison.

Everything you ever saw or wrote on your device, even if deleted, will remain in definitely remain available and searchable for users of the device, including #hackers.
Opting out requires work.

Also, in my view, I doubt that it is #GDPDR compliant in its current form.
Beware.

Excellent analysis:

En 1984, Steven Levy publicó ": Heroes of the Computer Revolution", escandalosamente no traducido al castellano.

It's a real shame the event eventually failed. If I were better with faces I would tag people but I'm just not that guy.
