I got the vase for free. It's part of set of 3 glassblown art vases. Got them from a free pile from local estate clear out, a few years ago. I'm good at scoring lots of #freebies & rarely buy anything new.
I picked some #flowers from our #gardens to make a new #bouquet for my Dad's memorial altar. We are doing his one year passing ceremonies on Sunday afternoon.
Something about #ferns & raindrops falling on still #waters, that instantly brings calming, #peaceful energies to my soul. #Nature provides many free to access & free to absorb, #HealingPowers 🙏💗
#Jasmine is blooming again. We keep them indoors for 3/4 of year & move outside for late Spring-Summer. Good indoor natural air purifying #plant. Flowers are #edible & used to make tea & fruits used in #Chinese#TraditionalMedicine.
I have 3 pots of #sorrel#SaladGreens. This is one of them. I started all 3 pots, last June. We've been harvesting from same pots - all through last year to now. They keep coming up, after every harvest. I love eating sorrel - raw or cooked! One of my fave greens to eat.
Patch of #nasturtiums attracts many beneficial insects & pollinators.
Fab companion plant for your #EdibleGarden or ornamental garden. Leaves & flowers are #edible.
Grown from mixed, tapped 2022 seeds.
#CowParsnip is the ONLY #Heracleum species that's native to #NorthAmerica. There's many look-a-likes including the very toxic giant hogweed. I don't recommend trying to #forage & harvest them unless you're very experienced with identifying differences because it's dangerous to do so.
Still lots of work from everyone, to help get full #HumanRights for all. LGBTQ2S are still under many threats. If you're an ally - especially one who isn't #marginalized & have privileges most of us vulnerable populations don't - please use your privilege to speak out more, stand up stronger & fight for full human rights.
Thank you. I post this in tribute to my queer cousin, who came out at age 50 ❤️❤️❤️
Spent some time hanging out with some blue #damselflies at the lake before coming back home 😊
Damselflies have existed since the Late #Jurassic period & found on every continent except Antarctica. Presence of damselflies & the larger dragonflies, indicates a healthy #ecosystem.
It's looking fantastic! One of a few that I grew from last year's seeds 😊 We grow a few types of basil, year round. My purple basil hasn't sprouted yet. These are Genova basil plants.
