Going to try watching old TV from 2009 instead of checking for updates on the escalating air war over the Middle East right now.
Thank you to the soldiers intercepting attacks.
May all the people in harms way, in and out of uniform, be safe, any injured be healed and comforted. May world leaders trying to convince themselves and each other to decrease the violence succeed.
The airdrops contribute “to ongoing #US govt efforts to provide life-saving #humanitarian assistance to the people in #Gaza,” the stmnt said. “We are conducting planning for potential follow-on airborne #aid delivery missions.”
3 #USAF cargo planes airdropped 66 pallets over SW Gaza, acc/to a US ofcl. The pallets contained 38k MREs.
Four USAF KC-135 left RAF Mildenhall on a northbound routing.
4 Tankers, means alot of fuel, the routing makes sense for refuel of heavy bomber exercises of a CONUS based strike towards the Kola Peninusla, where the RU Northern Fleet is based.
There is a significant number of Tanker Aircraft from US flying in the European direction.
This may be routine "getting there by Monday" activity, but there may be more (not visible) tankers and other combat aircraft en route.
Lawyer part of brain: That’s not OSHA compliant, where’s the fall protection? Does OSHA apply to armed forces? Doesn’t the military have immunity from personal injury cases in some circumstances? Let me just do some quick resea….
Posted this on my LinkedIn acct today. Figured some here might find this interesting as well. I was a #MorseCode Operator in the #USAF in the early 90’s. In later years, when friends and family would ask why the Air Force had any need for Morse Interceptors at that time, I often struggled to answer with clarity; because as far as I knew, much of the information worth sharing was still classified. So, I was happy when I discovered this video, which the #NSA released a few years ago…
Just another day at the office for #USAF 9th Reconnaissance Wing. Drone and U-2 pilots based at Beale AFB get their training hours in Talon T-38s. This one cruised up the spine of the #Sierra, over #Yosemite and Kirkwood, looped #LakeTahoe, and buzzed my neighborhood on their way home.
The deputy commanders of both #5thFleet & #USAF Central are also included in #Tuberville’s hold, as well as CENTCOM’s deputy dir of #strategy, plans & policy.
#Pentagon leadership roles have had to be significantly reshuffled because of Tuberville’s hold. Many snr military officers are performing 2 jobs as they await promotion, & some key positions are being held by more junior officers because a more senior officer has not yet been confirmed by the #Senate.
So, I'm re-encoding my Stargate SG-1 episodes in a bit better quality. The tracks on the Blurays are not always in the same order as the episodes, but I'm finding that I only need to watch a few seconds of the encoded video file to know which episode title it is.
"In Stargate SG-1 and its spin-offs, Cheyenne Mountain houses 'Stargate Command', a top-secret unit of the United States Air Force that uses the titular Stargate to explore other planets. In recognition of the series' close relationship with the real-life Air Force, there is now a broom closet in the real Cheyenne Mountain Complex called 'Stargate Command'."
