#PPOD: Some of the incredible solar activity was captured last month by spacecraft near the Sun, including these plasma tornadoes. These walls of plasma are higher than the Earth is in diameter. And, of course, all this solar activity has provided us with stunning aurorae. With solar maximum approaching, chances are high that we'll see more incredible views like this one! Credit: NASA
I'm still waiting for those notifications to start streaming in about a geomagnetic storm! In the meantime, I guess I just have to settle for imaging that monster sunspot region. That chunky one in the lower left is the one to watch! (this image is from earlier today)

They say the haze in the city is Sahara desert sand, I think it is pollution, but whatever, maybe it is a metaphor for the visibility we all have, it is never clear.
