We still have many world leaders and accounts on #mastodon claiming #genocide in #gaza but have never spoken out against the genocide by #russia in #ukraine.
I don't know what is going down in Russia right now but here's David Gilmour's guitar solo from Pink Floyd's #RiseUp projected on the #Russian Embassy in Washington DC (created with #b3d)
A very good friend is a #Ukrainian defender. He has been fighting for 2 years +, and at 23 years young, he is a grandfather of this war.
Today, it is 2 years since the full-scale invasion of #Ukraine. It is a nation of broken hearts but strong spirit. #Ukrainians have been and are fighting for survival against barbarian russians.
Please send your message of support, and I will get it to the guys. What do you want them to know?
#Ukraine's brave Warriors have not asked any other Country to send their soldiers to fight, all they ask is we supply weapons and munitions. It is not asking a lot from the world. #SlavaUkraïni 🇺🇦
There used to be a city here. People are now debating whether an invader does or does not hold all of the territory the city used to contain. It doesn't matter, for there is no city here any more. What matters is that the invader is evicted and made to bear responsibility for what they have done. #SlavaUkraini#Bakhmut
It's been over a month since Rep McGovern started his discharge petition to bypass Mike Johnson in the US Congress and get the support package for Ukraine rolling again. In the meantime, the House has mostly just vacationed, while russia bombards Ukrainian cities and energy infrastructure. The petiton is up to 195 of the 218 names needed for majority.
It's not just Johnson. Most of the representatives don't care.
The contrast between the White House's comments on Ukraine and Gaza are stark. See for yourself.
I'm drawing attention to the language only, not the validity of the statements in regard to Ukraine.

Today it's two years since Putin attacked my neighbour. I'm proud that Poland is giving so much to help Ukraine, and I believe everyone should give as much as possible to help them win, any other outcome will be a disaster to the Ukraine society and to Europe as a whole. And Ukraine should join NATO and the EU as quickly as possible, those two entities are the only ways Europe can be safe and prosperous.
Igor Girkin is very pessimistic today. He says it is time to start thinking about preventing Russia from falling apart because military defeat is near.
Russian Nazis have shown the world, time and again, that they know no bottom. By destroying the #Kachovka dam, #russian terrorists have taken their war crimes to a whole new level. Not only they have put tens of thousands of civilians in danger, destroyed thousands of homes, these monsters keep shelling the people trying to evacuate the flooded zones.
Right now seems like a good time to remind everyone that Donald Trump’s first impeachment was for withholding military aid from Ukraine until he could extort its president for dirt on Joe Biden to sabotage our election.
"Die Menschen im Land leiden und sterben. Aber sie leben auch. Dabei vergessen sie sogar manchmal für einige Augenblicke den Krieg. Man kann sich für diese Menschen freuen, für dieses kleine bisschen Trost. Es ihnen vorzuwerfen, ist niederträchtig."
To endure a long war, Ukraine is remaking its army, economy and society (www.economist.com)
The improvisation and decentralisation of the early part of the war will no longer suffice
