A few more days left on the Turbo #Santa high score prize competition. You need 740k for the top spot, but 106k and change gets you into the prize zone!
Time is running out. It's time for Turbo, Santa! 🎅🏻💨
“Forward, into the fog!”
Could Santa save the day?
How though Rudolph knew not
His nose had glowed red.
Theirs not to make reply,
Theirs not to reason why,
Theirs but to do and fly.
Into the foggy evening
Rode the nine reindeer.
Not, like, a real #Santa with a beard (although I bet our tits are similar in size). But I get to give presents to friends, which is true Santa-ness. 🧑🎄
Last night I was up late playing Santa, i.e. wrapping all the presents for my kids. 4 kids for Christmas means a lot of wrapping. Me & my wife split the kids down the middle and, yea, pretty even in terms of number of gifts. So, that's good.
If you celebrate, are you all prepped for Christmas? Do you have all your gifts wrapped / bought?
As we're closing in on Christmas, I decided to bust back out Sweet Rein and give it a re-read. I had not read it since 2021 and let me tell you, it's cheesy, but fun.
For those who don't know much about it (which may be many), Sweet Rein is about a girl named Kurumi who bumps into a boy named Kaito. Afterwards, a long invisible rein appears between the two of them, tying them together!
What we learn is that Santa (or Santas) are everyday people who connect with a human-reindeer to give out presents in their specific area once a year. This boy, Kaito, is Kurumi's reindeer. The story then follows Kurumi and Kaito as they are clearly having a crush on each other and also give out presents, work as Santa for Christmas, and overall try to make people's days brighter.
It's cute. I don't remember how it ended, so I'll have to finish it up before Christmas!
Have you read Sweet Rein? If so, what did you think of it?
There were a lot more white ibis (aka bin chickens) in the park this morning. And one of the magpies was unhappy enough to give one a kick up the arse.
Decided to call up Santa while i was walking in the park. It's free on the local pay-phones. Needed a bit of cheering up today and it did give me a bit of a giggle.
For info, Santa apparently he doesn't want any brandy left out for him to drink, just milk.
I asked Santa for world peace and he seemed pretty open to that. So here's hoping he can fit that on the sleigh.
Friendships, Friendships, Happy Holidays Merry Christmas! Anyway, 2023 is ending and the most special date of the year has arrived, a time of love, light, peace and harmony that allows us to forget all our problems and gather the people we love most around the table.
The moments of purest happiness can also be the simplest: the family together, the laughter that fills the house, the enthusiasm on the children's faces, the affection that overflows in every heart.
T'was a busy year of book sales for Mr. Fox & his floating bookshop.
But now, as he closes for Xmas, a customer is rushing forth for just one more gift...
