I'm excited to share that my "Old Barn" is now in the print edition of the "View from Woodall" a literary magazine of the Tishomingo Arts Counsil for winning the photography category of the regional Juried Art competition 2023.
We are well beyond the urban bustle, now, and the canal has returned to a green and peaceful state.
After heading northwest through some heavy industrial terrain, we made a sharp eastward turn and then northeast past the HS2 construction. As we left #Birmingham, each lock had less graffiti, less litter, and less floating debris than the one before it.
Sometimes simple is just better. As the sun was setting the heads of wheat were catching the last of the fading light. Interestingly, wheat is the most harvested crop in the world

After a spring thunderstorm passes, we are often left with amazing clouds and beautiful colors. Everything came together for one of those ethereal moments over this heart-shaped tree🙂. Tupelo MS

My wife is from this area, she remembers this being a nice little house with a neat tidy yard. Of course nobody lives here now. How long have those curtains been hanging in the window? Is somebody peeking out? 👻
