The amazing thing about #NewMexico is you can drive 45 minutes from Albuquerque to see a 9 piece ABBA cover band called ABBAquerque play in a town without potable water called Madrid.
But kidding aside, had a sweaty blast dancing the night away in Madrid at the Mine Shaft
Art Santa Fe 2023 is this weekend at the Santa Fe Convention Center. If you plan to go, do check out Oliver Polzin. For me, his work really stood out and was one of the few I truly admired yesterday at the Opening Night.
Spent time this week out escaping the heat and enjoying our beautiful national forests while we still have them. San Gregorio Lake at 9400 ft. elevation. Accessible by foot only.
"Fed prosecutors interviewed sec's of state for #Pennsylvania & #NewMexico in recent mos as part of ongoing investigation into efforts to overturn the 2020 election..

If you find yourself in #Albuquerque this Saturday looking for something to do in the evening, I'll be playing a tight, intense 30-minute set at Boese Brewing on Gold Ave. starting at around 9:45 pm. Be there!
It's been a hot summer already & we are just getting start. Thought you might appreciate a cool down. Even though it was a long cold winter, just a few minutes of this looks good. Winter in the Sangre de Cristo Mountains of New Mexico.
Queer & Trans users in #NewMexico !
What are your experiences with living in NM? Would you recommend it? Any specific locations?
QPP & I are considering trying to head there once we get our van fixed. We're currently homeless in Washington & even w/ resources we're worried about how sustainable WA would be cost wise for us.
Taos Pueblo in New Mexico is a UNESCO World Heritage Site & is one of the oldest continuously inhabited sites in the USA. It is believed to have been built between 1000 & 1450 making it somewhere around 900 to 1000+ years old. In the pueblo there is no running water, or electricity. In 2010 there were about 150 people still living there.
Southern #NewMexico and #ElPaso folks - Planned Parenthood now has a Las Cruces location providing #abortion care (medication only)!
They join Las Cruces Women’s Health (aka The Pink House West) who is already doing amazing work providing medication AND procedural abortion for people who have been pregnant for up to 16 weeks. Love that more options and clinical capacity are available for those communities!
Pre-Monsoon rains are falling over the highest terrain of the Sacramento mountains of southern New Mexico.
First photo is a fisheye lens view of the sky. Fisheye distortion makes the horizon strongly curved. Above, storm clouds are forming. Where the bottom of the cloud is smooth and featureless...rain is falling.
Looking down at the driveway. The photographer's feet, waist, and torso are also in the frame.
This is classic New Mexico 'six inches of rain'...a raindrop every six inches on the pavement.
So far the rain gauge says 0.01 inches. You may think this is merely a psychological victory for those that worship monsoon, but the high altitude forest has come alive with this slightest trace of rain, and humid air.
A scenic walk up a narrow trail to butte of Inscription Rock leads to these ruins. The trail then loops back to the visitor center. Not to be missed if you visit the monument.
