I like it the most, when after snowfall the snow is still on the trees (which melts the quickest, so does not stay long often). It gives that extra winter look.
The Golden Ears (Mount Blanshard, Blanshard Needle) on a mostly clear day with some fresh late winter snow. Photographed from Pitt Meadows, British, Columbia, Canada.
Good morning and a beautiful #mountainmonday to all of you!
Today I am not digging deep in my photos, but instead I share a photo I took yesterday with you. #hiking#alps
Piedra Lisa Trail
Sandia Mountain Wilderness
Cibola National Forest, NM
One of my favorite "local" hiking trails. The view is to the south along the western face of the Sandia Mountains. Follow the slope down and you can just make out the edge of Albuquerque.
Spindrift is nice to photograph but with some sunset light on it - even better! This is Mount Redoubt in the North Cascades NP of Washington State, as photographed from Chilliwack Provincial Park in British Columbia.
"For thirty years, people have been asking me how I reconcile X with Y! The truthful answer is that I don't. Everything about me is a contradiction and so is everything about everybody else. We are made out of oppositions; we live between two poles. There is a philistine and an aesthete in all of us, and a murderer and a saint. You don't reconcile the poles. You just recognize them." - Orson Welles
Winter dropped in for most of us this weekend in the Northern Hemisphere and the snow lovers like me couldnt be more stoked to welcome it! How much snow did you get? Hoping this next round of storms stays cold for the PNW. Happy Monday everyone! #MountainMonday#snowboarding#powder#snow#freshies#PNW#splitboarding#secretspot
