For #MountainMonday: Low clouds swirl around Indian Arm and Mount Underhill with Hixon Peak and Mount Bonnycastle in the background. This view of Indian Arm and the surrounding mountains was photographed from Burnaby Mountain in Burnaby, British Columbia, Canada.
Ticked off one from the bucket list yesterday: Gleirsch canyon, carved out by one of the earliest tributaries of the Isar river, both with an incredibly beautiful turquoise water color. The canyon itself is one of the wildest & Tolkienesque I've ever been too, higher up parts then offering amazing views of the epic Karwendel main range... ❤️
For #MountainMonday: A spring rainstorm flows from the clouds to the mountains in British Columbia, Canada. Eagle Mountain and the Buntzen Lake area appear to be receiving the brunt of the rainfall while the sun breaks through the clouds to the west.
Low clouds hang over the southern slopes of the Laguna Mountains as monsoonal moisture makes its way through the Southern California desert in September 2016. The solitary tree is a Pinyon Pine.
This week for #MountainMonday I have the iconic scene of Mount Shuksan and Picture Lake in Washington State. One of the most photographed mountains in the area, and you can see why.
For #MountainMonday - The Golden Ears (Mount Blanshard, Blanshard Needle) on a mostly clear day with some fresh late winter snow. Photographed from Pitt Meadows, British, Columbia, Canada.
Having a hard time getting started today. I'd rather be back out on top of a mountain.
A short backpacking trip this weekend was what I needed. Perfect weather, basically no one else on the trail, and the spring closest to the ridge we camped on was actually flowing!
And the sunrise over the Shenandoah River valley and Shenandoah National Park was beautiful.
