My company's campaign is "Supporting allyship". I get the sentiment and I appreciate the effort to educate other people on being allies, but is that really the appropriate headline for a global company's Pride campaign?

My first take on it was: Way to make Pride month about straight folk 🙄
Am I missing something?

We tried the "Yesterdaze" cheese I made last weekend!

It was very mild, with a taste reminiscent of the little "Babybel" cheese snacks. Though it was very much under-salted; I think I'll need to check my brine and/or adjust the brine time for future attempts.

While the cheese was pressed overnight at about 20 lbs of pressure, the curds didn't completely knit together and there were some mechanical voids in the cheese. It still had a nice creamy texture.

Not a bad first attempt!

I forgot how much I love problem-solving with code when it's on a project I like. Did I need to work until midnight on a Friday night getting this data profiling script running? Probably not, but I enjoyed the flow, and now I can enjoy my weekend while it churns in the background!

OK, so @frameworkcomputer have released Intel Core Ultra laptops and they also have their AMD Ryzen laptops.

Does anyone know what the Core is like? Comparison to Ryzen? Battery life / efficiency? If I were to get a Framework laptop, what should I get (if I use it to browse the interwebs, chat, do light work and watch streaming stuff / pr0n)?

Also, I'm still considering going Linux (because integrated AI / Copilot / Recall still sounds awful)...

@muiiio @bundyo I haven't had any issues with using thunderbolt docks and peripherals on my @frameworkcomputer -- either my original Framework 13 with Intel Gen 11 or with my updated Ryzen mainboard, Thunderbolt-certified or not!

I have reached the stage where slim fit dress shirts are too billowy and tailored fit dress shirts hug my spare tire and belly a little too closely. There needs to be an in between for “does CrossFit but also enjoys IPAs”

I am trying my first "real" cheese! I've made ricotta a few times, mozzarella twice, and paneer once, but now I'm trying my hand at a more aged cheese. This is my attempt at a Bel Paese, which conveniently ripens at refrigerator temperatures (4C/42F). No need for a separate cheese fridge/cave yet!

As for this attempt, the rennet didn't set the curd as well as I was hoping, and the surface remained rough after "pressing". But we'll see in 3 weeks! Pic is from right after brining.
