The team Screen 7 used to work on a fan game called Indiana Jones and the Fountain of Youth until 2021. It was planned as inofficial successor of Indiana jones and the Fate of Atlantis, but it was canceled.
Happy 80th Birthday to the great #GeorgeLucas Here’s a portrait from my archives circa 1994(ish) celebrating the man who made me fall in love with film through @StarWars and #indianajones and everything in between! Here he is doing the iconic #ILM magician logo pose made famous by another hero of mine, #DrewStruzan@Starwars
So after watching all five #IndianaJones films, I decided to hop over to what I've seen called its "modern" equivalent, the 1999 #MummyTrilogy of films.
I'm working on a classic point and click adventure game in my free time. It's an Indiana Jones fan game and I'm treating it (and the design decisions and process) as if it would be a real follow up to Fate of Atlantis back in the early 90s - taking (gameplay and UI) inspiration from the classic LucasArts games that followed it. #pixelart#adventuregame#retrogaming#indianajones#lucasarts
The #IndianaJones movies are fun fantasy adventure movies that inspire my imagination. Booby-trapped, thematic "dungeons", supernatural powers, its basically dnd quests but in the 1930s.
Also, they do deserve some credit. #IndianaJones fights and despises #nazis and #fascism, and in the 2 of the movies the main quests are after artifacts that arguably are part of his own culture and heritage (Ark of the Covenant and the Holy Grail).
I swear, sometimes I'm ridiculously sensitive. I'm watching #IndianaJones#TheLastCrusade and I'm feeling bad for the sewer rats running away from the fire set to smoke Indy out like "aw. Poor babies didn't deserve that".
Sure, watches that tell you when you’re walking unsteadily and pocket computer phones that show you the closest pizzeria are swell, but were you around for ResEdit?
A Hollywood auction last week sold iconic props from movie history including Indiana Jones' whip and Forrest Gump's chocolates. The item that made most money was the panel from "Titanic" that Rose used to float to safety (sans Jack), which went for $718,750. Here's more from NPR.
