I’m so honored and humbled to have Chaplain Clementina Chéry follow me on TwitterX!
She has been an inspiration to me for many years.
Her non-profit “The Louis D. Brown Institute” in my childhood neighborhood of Dorchester, offers many services and also organizes an annual Mother’s Day Walk for Peace.
I am floored and fascinated by the near-literary quality of many of the descriptions of images that people carefully craft when appending pictures to their posts on Mastodon. Some of them will reveal a detail that had escaped my attention. Others will help me understand a subtle joke I had missed. Others still are true poems. TERFs object to the term "people who menstruate" to refer to those of us who menstruate.
The "who menstruate" portion is simply descriptive and cannot be objectionable. Period products and menstruation related health concerns don't directly impact people who don't menstruate.
This means they must be objecting to the term "people." Since we are striving to be as inclusive as possible, I suggest we use the term "people and TERFs who menstruate" going forward.

"We are proud to introduce a Barbie doll with Down syndrome to better reflect the world around us and further our commitment to celebrating inclusion through play," Lisa McKnight, the executive vice president and global head of Barbie & dolls at Mattel, said in a statement.
Believe women. Believe Black folks. Believe Jews. Believe LGBTQ+ folks. Believe anyone who tells you they’re being attacked. As the adage goes, “privilege is learning about racism instead of experiencing it.” And this is true for all forms of targeted oppression, hatred, and violence.
Just noticed that the #Snapchat :snapchat: survey on #inclusivity asks you to select your skin colour from a colour palette, which I guess is really inclusive for colour blind people. 🙊
