Yesterday I bought 3 Cory Doctorow's @pluralistic books on his web site https://craphound.com/shop/. A couple of hours later I received an e-mail from the author thanking me. How cool is that? Private sector is cannibalising the public sector and nothing being done about it.
My dentist de-registered me about a year ago, refusing to do anymore NHS work, offering me to sign-up for £19 a month - with two free check-ups included a year!
In the end, it was easier to transfer my payments to my other bank and close my account than to get n26 to understand that some Irish addresses have house names, not house numbers.

I keep seeing " #LateStageCapitalism " and accurate critiques of the status quo, but never any clear idea of what next. #Marxism and its relatives always seem to degenerate to a dictatorship of the #technocracy. What would Socialism 2.0 look like? Is it just #socialdemocacy i.e. a kinder gentler capitalism? Or is there a third way?
The lesson we should recognize from “The Great American Experiment” is that capitalism should not be confused with freedom. When rights can be purchased then ethics are divorced from morality. Hence, the perceived necessity for many “have nots” defending the “haves.” When money buys you everything and you can tease everyone with the possibility to be the same then many will fall prey to this insidious trap. #USA#Capitalism#Fascism#Morality#Ethics#Lies
