Sometimes you just get lucky. This little yellow warbler literally landed in front of us, and is nicely highlighted by the sun just behind and to the right.
Another for #StandingStoneSunday: while I was there a skylark flew down and lit on a stone at Scotland's Tomnaverie stone circle. I was thrilled because Shelley's To a Skylark was one of my favorite poems when I was young but we don't have them in the States. I got to see and hear them plenty during my visit. #Scotland#bird#birds#skylark#tomnaverie
Talking to Marie in the kitchen and we hear a strange rustling on our back patio. She opens the curtain, and is greeted by a young owl full wing spread knocking over stuff we had stacked back there. I got a couple shots through the dirty sliding door and screen. DAMN nature. You freaky!
I tried cleaning up the Owl profile pic with a little editing. Considering this was shot at dusk, through a dirty sliding door, and a filthy screen, I'm really impressed with what the OnePlus 12 telephoto camera was able to do! https://www.flickr.com/photos/jickbahtech/53732259950/in/dateposted/
It's funny when you look back through your images folders and find a strange image totally out of context.
No idea when I took it, where I took it, or what on earth is going on 😲😄
Here's another of my favorite #bird photos from our recent #camping and #birding trip. This is a Prothonotary Warbler and one of my favorite species. They are sometimes called swamp canaries because of their preference for wet habitats. #birds#nature#wildlife#Wisconsin
