for the win, I guess!
It does make me wonder if all this will have a chilling effect on new open-source adoption where projects are not affiliated with an umbrella like the Linux Foundation or the Apache Foundation or whoever.

@peter I think I’m remembering rightly that it can only be driven legally in the UK if the driver wears a helmet due to the tiny windscreen.

I really hate how Mac Mail bundles “conversations”together. It does it only by the subject line. So if more than 1 person emails me in response to a post, that shows as a conversation, even though the 2 emails are unrelated and each person wasn’t included on the other mail.

What a shitty system. Anyone know how to turn it off?

@kev I know it’s probably just me, but I’ve never seen a conversation view that didn’t make my brain hurt. Always the first thing I turn off.

Is there a more stupid statement in all of GitHub than “This issue has been automatically closed due to inactivity.”?

Just tell the truth. “We’re trying to keep the number of issues down and this issue isn’t that important”, or, “nobody cares”, or, “We can’t fix this”.

@hrbrmstr a friend was recently in a webinar with folks from GH and was apparently told (with a straight face no less) that GH is no longer a repo hosting company but an AI company that also hosts repos 🤮

email newsletters really don't work for me at all. I almost never read any of them. RSS on the other hand, has been a constant for me for 20 years. I'm currently unsubscribing from all newsletters and adding the same content to my RSS reader where possible.
