Is there a more stupid statement in all of GitHub than “This issue has been automatically closed due to inactivity.”?
Just tell the truth. “We’re trying to keep the number of issues down and this issue isn’t that important”, or, “nobody cares”, or, “We can’t fix this”.
@sellorm it's more than likely the results of poorly design metrics programs. someone in some org gets dinged if 'median issue age' crosses some threshold. Lots of metrics are like this b/c orgs suck at designing and managing metrics programs.
