It's unfortunate Toronto's New Deal means Queen's Park uploading Gardiner/DVP (which kills any chance of teardown) & Mayor Olivia Chow abandoning her fight to keep Ontario Place public, but Doug Ford wasn't going to help fix the #BudgetTO shortfall without his pound of flesh. #TOpoli #ONpoli

    @RM_Transit Interesting idea. It does baffle me how few transit connections Pearson has. Even Morocco has a heavy rail line running from Casablanca (via Casa Port & Casa Voyageurs) to Mohammed V Airport, though only at hourly frequencies.

    @RM_Transit It is. Their main line from Marrakech to Fes also runs hourly, though we didn't ride the Al Boraq to Tangier.

    Doug Ford has no right to tell Toronto Mayor Olivia Chow to get rid of the #BloorBikeLanes in #Etobicoke.     Since submitting that letter, City Council approved increasing some parking fines from $30 to $75 since the old fine was less than the daily maximum rate in some areas.     @jfmezei @jerome @hamishb The issue of contractor accountability is not isolated to the Eglinton Crosstown LRT. We need to demand this for ALL infrastructure projects. One company in particular - Sanscon Construction - has seen several projects get delayed considerably such as the College Street Upgrades, KQQR intersection, and the Military Trail road reconstruction. #TOpoli #ONpoli

    @jfmezei @jerome @hamishb With Metrolinx's CEO earning over $850K annually and the agency not doing their proper oversight of Crosslinx's work, it's only fair to target Verster. However, having the Ford government muzzle Metrolinx doesn't help matters either and must also be called out.

    Now that the Greenbelt question has been resolved (for now), let's increase the pressure on MPP Kinga Surma to resign over her role with the Ontario Place fiasco. We must not let the 95 year lease & $650 million subsidy to Therme stand.
