Picked up the Gamesir Nova Lite controller, excuse the stupid bedroom pic, but it’s cheap and really good. 2.4g, plug and play on Stean Deck. Perfect for when docked.

Bit of effort to get it working on the deck though, or there was - that might have been fixed, you needed to make some driver changes to the OS to get it recognised.

Second time at #Gym after joining. I figure "I'm not that unfit." I push myself.

35 minutes in and despite having stopped all exertion, and lying on the floor for another 20 minutes, my heart rate hasn't dropped below 120, I have severe pins and needles in both arms from the elbow down and I cant stop shaking.

I did somehow not throw up, so I guess I can count that as a win.

Question for the people out there: our mutt is a rescue, with a couple of odd phobias (for lack of a better word). That's probably not surprising.

The weirdest one, though, is that he totally panics when there is a draft indoors. He doesn't have any problem with wind outside, but if I open a few windows in the house to get a crossbreeze, the dog is hiding in the farthest corner, trembling.

Anyone else ever encountered something like this? Any ideas how to help him?

@floe if it's anything like our house doors slam all over the place if you get a through draft so could be related to loud noises.

Sadly no advice, just my sympathies as Sheridan has some odd ones himself.

Oh this is fun. I can't upgrade to 11 as it needs PHP-Parser 5+.

Which I can't use as needs 4+.

Not to mention this project itself needs PHP-Parser so that upgrade in of itself means work on my part.

Is this where I start using a PHAR?

At least that would mean not having to upgrade my codebase to support a newer test tool.

Fair, but also, if I remove development dependencies from the my projects if they're just tools then those projects no longer have development dependencies.

Which I guess leads me to "what are development dependencies for if not things needed for development?"

Look, if you're using cheapo digital ocean vps and a single article takes 11mb to load without a browser cache...maybe the problem is your server not the mastodon embed.

@ThePlant I tried it out yesterday on a personal project that I consider well optimised. Yes, it got a lot of requests in a short time. No it didn't fall over.

*I appreciate my audience is smaller but it was still 200+ separate instances within a 60 second period.

What’s up with 19.2 fl oz beer cans? I mean, I like the size, but it’s not an even amount of anything. It equates to 567.81 ml.

Yes, I know American units are wonky, but sometimes they’re weird because they actually equal to an even metric number. For example, they sell 16.9 fl oz water bottles because that’s a half liter.

So, what gives on the 19.2 fl oz / 567.81 ml measurement for these tall cans?

It’s pretty damning that the apps that magically work better on the “most powerful Mac on the planet” are those powered by JavaScript. Jira, Notion, Slack etc. Native app UI’s generally perform about the same.
