Bandcamp as a platform has been so important for the indie music scene. It's been the gateway for numerous smaller artists to get their work out there, and it offered a way of discovering and supporting creators that made it unique.

Not sure what comes next, and even if this news is not exactly surprising after Epic decided to sell it, it's still sad and disappointing to see this happen.

Just got COVID for the second time, right before the booster appointment that took forever to book for Monday. Enraging. My mom said when she called me with COVID and said she was worried that she could give it to me over the phone. I haven't been anywhere without a mask in weeks.

I had it the first time March 8, 2020, when we knew little about it and it almost killed me. I was weak for two years, and am only just now building strength back. So frustrating.

We write a bunch of short reviews once a month at Dusted, and this month I did a duets album from Hand Habits’ Meg Duffy, a Sub Pop Singles Club from Thrash Palace (EMA is in the band), some live drones from 75 Dollar Bill and the latest from Alabaster DePlume. Soon, I'll be planning my mid-semester evaluation day, when I give everyone 7-8 minutes to write me a letter consisting of the following:

1. Something they think they are doing well in the class (reading, participating, writing, etc.)
2. Something they would like to improve or set as a learning goal for themselves.
3. Something they think is going well in the class.
4. Something that I could do to better facilitate their goal in (2).

Every semester, I expect it to be painful and it isn't.

When streaming services came out, I was happy to be rid of my Dvds. As a minimalist by nature I just didn't like things cluttering up my space. But now? I want them back, especially seeing how little control I have with keeping my favourite films and TV shows. I am kinda glad that I never got to getting rid of allll my favourite shows, but now I have to buy a region-free dvd player as they seem like a rare thing now lol.
