Journalism has always been about reporting what people say.

Now, people like Trump and Musk and Orban and even fucking Rees-Mogg exploit this - they know that if they simply say something, it will be reported. Regardless of how true it is.

It doesn’t feel like journalism has woken up to how these people are gaming the nature of journalism.

@joelanman Yes, hosting providers certainly have a role to play in simplifying things. I use Dreamhost and they used to provide a selection of auto-installed web services. They don't anymore :(

Didn’t there used to be an open-access electronics / making things workshop in Bath or Bristol? Sort of place where you could pay a membership fee to use the facilities? Or am I dreaming it?

Anyone have any pointers? @jarkman or @jonty, do either of you have any ideas?

My son (21) is keen to do some building / making but our spare room is a poor substitute for a proper workshop.
