After the first game of , the Ruby and Saphire deck was victorious over the Amber and Emerald deck.

I really liked the location cards in the R/S deck as it allowed to get Lore points each round almost immediately.

The A/E deck was cool that some of the Dalmatians had some really cool synergies that created some really high scoring rounds but it wasn't enough.

It was like I was playing again some 20 years ago.

@metatron I, by no means, was an MtG expert, as I only dabbled in it so people who were really into it, probably see vast differences when compared to Lorcana. But for me, the general feeling was the same.

As far as interactions go, the first game had a lot more than I expected from just reading the ruleset. We were challenging each other almost every turn. Sure, the depth of the interaction is pretty shallow, but I liked it overall.

@TheLordChiefRockaNumberOne I'm dying to get some series 2 games but I'm still missing two films from series 1. And now that I've painted all my series 1 minis, I really want to get them so I can utilize all my hard work painting lol

I finally finished up my #FinalGirl #miniatures but having issues with how I want to photograph them for the blog.

Here are some examples of a really stylized version I did, that I think captures the #horror aspect of the game but I'm not sure if a more standard set would be better so people could see the colors used better.

Thoughts? I'm putting a poll in the replies to this post if anyone is interested.

Reference the pics in previous comment. I'm looking for opinions on if I should post the full set of stylized pictures, a set with more standard lighting or another option to be commented on. Thanks!

@kimu Thanks for the feedback! I haven't tried natural lighting at all. Only with lamps and no overheard or with both lamps and overhead. I will give it a try!

@dereisenhofer That's a good question that I should probably know the answer to lol.

Here is an example of one I did that was less stylized but I feel like my painting just isn't that great and maybe I'm trying to hide that with the other type of photos

@dereisenhofer Awesome I will try that. I was curious how people made their blacl background so black. I'm using a black poster board but it's so grey in all my photos. Maybe there is not enough depth between the poster and the lamps. My lamps are not any of these special ones I see people using, just two bedside lamps so maybe the light isn't as focused as it should be?

Another game of tonight and this time our 8 YO joined in with my 11 YO, Lindsey and myself.

11 really wanted to play the non family version but I thought it would be too many things to remember. We compromised by selecting two animal scoring cards (elk and fish) and used them and then let the other three animals score just as groups like in the family variant. It worked out really well!

Last game of the day was #Stroganov

It was a bit of a bust for Linds (even though she still won) bc she admittedly, didn't really understand what she was doing with these furs. It was probably a bad move making the last game a teaching game, but I felt she was not going to like it regardless. I've only ever played it solo and she knew how bad I wanted to try multiplayer, so I appreciate her giving it a go.
