@EricChrSmit Al sinds de dood van Fortuyn is de kritiek op populistische, rechts-radicalen/extremisten verstomd. Media/journalisten lijken doodsbang om opnieuw beschuldigd te worden van haatzaaien.

Met als kennelijk eindresultaat dat ze niet meer weten wat objectieve verslaggeving of analyse is. ๐Ÿ˜’

@ErikJonker Nou, dat werd tijd. Al vraag ik me af waar ze die nieuwe woningen, wegen, e.d. willen plaatsen. Ook de regio zit behoorlijk vol. (Tenzij ze flink wat boeren uitkopen. ๐Ÿ˜ƒ) Hopelijk gaat er ook een deel van het geld naar cultuur (niet zijnde PSV, gemeente Eindhoven).

Bij komende discussies over bezuinigingen is het goed in het achterhoofd te halen waar geld "te halen" is, dat is in zorg en sociale zekerheid, dus dat worden altijd moeilijke gesprekken.

@ErikJonker Laat de bezuinigen daar nu maar eens, er is genoeg afbraak geweest. Er valt meer "te halen" bij banken, energiebedrijven, supermarkten, belastingontduiking en witwasfraude. Het buitenland ging ons voor.

@ErikJonker Zorg, sociale zekerheid en publieke diensten zijn al te vaak uitgeknepen de laatste twee decennia. Het is een eindeloze en heilloze weg.

Room de excessieve winsten af van genoemde bedrijven, en steek meer geld in witteboordenfraude, daar gaat wat tijd overheen maar levert veel op.

Eigen risico afschaffen zie ik btw niet gebeuren. Dan is ook een ander stelsel nodig, met oa minder bureaucratie en minder gedreven door ziekte/gebrek maar door gezondheidswinst.

Dat eeuwige argument dat meteen alle discussie moet stoppen. ๐Ÿ™„ Nederland heeft ook veel te bieden, en moet dat blijven bieden: goede infrastructuur, goede voorzieningen, (nog) goed onderwijs. Goede publieke diensten (veiligheid en rust). Daar mag wat tegenover staan. Daar mรณet wat tegenover staan.

Het is ook binnen Europa geen race to the bottom. Ook elders zijn er recent belastingen ingevoerd.

@DenisCOVIDinfoguy @auscovid19 That is normal in The Netherlands - hardly anybody wears a masks, hardly anybody tests. If they test it is just once, at the beginning.
For there are no instructions, no precautions other than: wash your hands and stay at home when having symptoms, which many don't think is necessary because 'it is just a cold'.
Schools, universities, offices, factories, public transport, hospitals: no masks requiered anywhere.

I am trying my best not to get infected, amid people looking (and young children staring) at me because they apparently have never seen an FFP2 (N95). Despite that I have been infected twice in hospital (where no one wears a mask, unless you are operated on: a surgical one ๐Ÿ˜”).

Yes, it'll take years. I hope that in ten years max people will have learned it is better to use a mask in public, or that by then a good new Covid vaccin will be available that prevents illness AND infection. ๐Ÿคž

Posting something a little odd: This is me playing Go Tell It On the Mountain on a mixed reality keyboard using the Meta Quest 3 VR headset. The hand tracking has gotten good (but not good enough to let you play the virtual keyboard freestyle--it only works to follow your hands to the selected music.) I was not impressed with the Oculus Rift years ago, but the new #MetaQuest 3 VR device is pretty cool. Spending a fair amount of time playing with it.

A video captured in a Meta Quest 3 headset. I am playing music on a virtual keyboard in my office. The app is called PianoVision (and it costs just $10.)

It might be that for those with dysautonomia this might be not a good idea.

I myself suffered from temperature attacks, with a lot of heat and pressure in my head. At those times I certainly would not have wanted an even further increase in temp.

Now that this is no longer the case for me, I try hot footbaths every now and then. To get the interferon going. (LC has affected my nerves, head and body).

As for regular BCG injection, yup, I think you're right. Sadly that's not possible where I live. Not even as part of a study. ๐Ÿฅฒ
So in my country the only way to up the interferon is baths, saunas, fomentations - if you don't like getting the flu.
