@Bundesregierung Bitte auch mehr Automatisierung wagen, verbunden mit einer Abkehr sowohl vom Fokus auf Reiche als auch dem Mantra "Mehr Job = Mehr gut".

Unser Ziel sollte Wohlstand für alle bei maximaler Arbeitszeitreduktion sein, nicht was auch immer wir jetzt gerade machen.

Und mit Wohlstand ist selbstverständlich der MEDIAN gemeint, nicht der Durchschnitt! Der "eines der reichsten Länder…" Bullshit ist nicht mehr auszuhalten!

We tried to capture the northern lights with our "best" smartphone (Pixel 7 Pro) and , even set it to 16 seconds of exposure. No northern lights to be seen over . :(

To be seen even in southern Germany but not here, that's quite a bummer…

Websites with libraries and media pulled from 30+ domains seem to be no exception anymore.

Who does this? Who has the guts to call himself a web developer or Website Administrator and then go crazy with includes?

At very least bundle it yourself. I cant look at Websites nowadays. Doesnt help that I know 1. how to make it better and 2. why it happens. :-/

Sorry if this is putting a dent in your excitement, I think people should know what Dan is actually doing with Loops though. Endless scrolling + algorithmic 'For You' page with proprietary algorithm owned by every instance, which in turn have to finance their huge server costs "somehow"… this is a TikTok'ish recipe for disaster.

  • Endless scrolling with algorithmically tailored short-form content is proven to be highly addictive!

  • Closed algorithms can contain any kind of manipulative stuff.

  • High amount of user data (but barely anything else to sell / get money from) + high costs for "free" service = user data being sold eventually

My main three points. These problems are well known & Dan's running into them.

On the contrary, because of this notion we're now living in a society where people are refused jobs because they can't be found on Facebook, Instagram or Twitter, one guy with tons of money can crash your social circle and democracy goes down the drain.

I'm arguing for a better web. If you don't like that, then simply ignore it and move on.

    @kubikpixel Solche Plattformen müssen einer allgemeinwohlorientierten Verwaltung unterstellt werden. Sie agieren wie echte Marktplätze oder auch Straßen und sind elementar für unsere Gesellschaft geworden.

    Non-Profit, verstaatlicht oder mindestens in eine Genossenschaft überführt. Profitorientierte Firmen werden Plattformen niemals rein im Sinne der Nutzer führen.

    Da sitze ich in der Weiterbildung und meine Freundin schreibt mir, das unserer Kühlschrank (der uralt & gebraucht ist) kaputt gegangen ist. Er kühlt nicht mehr und eigentlich alles was wir da drin haben wird nun verderben 😔

    Toll, jetzt müssen wir uns einen neuen Kühlschrank organisieren - was ja ohne wirklich Geld 💰 zu haben, richtig spaßig ist 😫

    Currently working on some #multicast peer discovery code. I keep abbreviating it as "peer disco", but it's definitely feels more like a peer cèilidh.

    Nodes dynamically linking with each other in different configurations, shouting things to each other, nodes dropping in and out and reconfiguring again into a new shape and the dance goes on.

    Yes, definitely more of a cèilidh.

    All that's missing is some 80-shilling and a couple of nodes having a quiet snog in the corner.

    Every time I click on "Export Image" it simply generates this pattern with a different colour pallet. Copying it from the top works though (Tell me you don't have 3.9 million png files on that server...).
