sigh First the Logitech G502 mouse failed just after warranty, now my Steelseries something-600 dies. I'm so fed up with the trash that is todays consumer technology.
There isn't even a way to find actually high quality gaming mice (or, well, one with excellent sensor and at least 5 buttons) because comparisons in magazines are often rigged and online reviews literally give 5 stars blabbering "I bought this mouse 3 times in the last 5 years, it's awesome".
What the hell, where does the sudden #enshittification on #Startpage come from? There even are two additional "sponsored" entries on the bottom of the page, barely more results than ads. Doesn't get caught by µBlock Origin or another addon either.
Time to move to a better search provider. Probably a self-hosted one.
I do like #OpenSuse's install wizard. Doesn't look very modern, however gives you a ton of settings. Being able to specify PCI-IDs and what driver to load for specific devices at setup is extremely useful!
Giving #OpenSuse Leap a try. Would like to go from my rather moody #ArchLinux to a more stable system. Feels like I learned everything I could in terms of usage, now I want something that needs less maintaining and gives me more time to do other things.
Given I do not trust US companies (not necessarily because of the company, but the legislation they have to follow) #Fedora or anything #Ubuntu was an absolute no-go. And #Debian just isn't modern enough, despite being dead-stable. 😉 #Linux
I probably get flooded by asking this but welp, here I go:
I'm looking for a good, visual (!) #tutorial for #WebDevelopment that focuses on Codium, Firefox and other Open-Source tools. My specific interests are to learn #HTML, #CSS, #PHP and #SQL. Perhaps some minor #Javascript, however I'd like to primarily work without it.
I'm a visual learner, extended theory in text won't help me at all. As language is visual to me, so is #programming.
@Crell Only if necessary, it makes the learning process unnecessarily convoluted (harder to scrub through a video than a website and the pace is always changing).
@Natanox das wird sich nicht komplett verhindern lassen - also ob die sich das nehmen lassen Leute ausspionieren zu können, wann immer sie wollen oder sagen das sie es "müssen"
Couldn't find any super basic standing 10x15cm picture frames so I'm making my own. Also gives me the excuse to play around with Wood-PLA filament. :blahaj:
Picture in the frame can be found here: https://wallpapersafari.com/w/ZQDWmM
@rasterweb That's even more basic than I was going for, haha. 😅 Thank you for the link. I'll finish this anyway though, may go for something that specifically looks and feels good with the mentioned Wood-PLA.
