Things that amuse me; Looking back through old Siri-generated reminders on my phone where it failed picking up slang context or my accent and tried to turn it into some kind of formal Americanspeak, or something. Some I can interpret. Others I have no idea.

A screenshot of reminders reminding me of “copy shop”, “pump”, and “get Craig shoot them up”. I do not remotely remember what these were. Probably "Coffee shop" which always gets reinterpreted to "Copy shop", a term we generally don't use.

@siracusa I was reminding myself three times that the trout (my car's nickname) was going in on Friday for a Rego Check (yearly inspection). Copy Shop was I think a reminder to get a co-worker a coffee from the coffee shop. I'm not sure why I'm shooting up craig or popping one for him, or what the cats 30 cats is at all.

@siracusa Oooh yeah. I had to talk to the first siri with a generic american accent for it to even understand me in the really early days. That much has improved, but local slang rarely makes it through without being butchered, or americanised.
