OMG I found the setting where I could triple the size of the lil arrow thingy on my laptop and HOO BOY I did not realize this was the stress relieving hack I needed so badly. I've wasted SO many brain spoons trying to find the lil thing. This is awesome!

Is it something with the weather? Is it the pollen? I'm having a mare of a week for concentration. I can't focus on anything, flitting from one thing to another, forgetting things I should be doing. Coffee is not helping like it usually does. It doesn't help that I can't sit for a long time without stiffening up (still post op hip rep, but getting there). Also, the maddening tongue on tooth rubbing stim is back. Open to suggestions @actuallyadhd #ActuallyADHD #ADHD #neurodivergent

@actuallyautistic I just learned that stimulation of the body's proprioception systems in turn down regulates some aspects of the nervous system that are typically overactive for us.

I also learned proprioception stimulation is something Occupational Therapists prescribe for autistic clients.

Wondering if anyone can share any such exercises or methods an OT has prescribed for them?

Deep muscle & tissue stimulation is the general notion I've gathered so far.

@Aerliss @Vincarsi @ScruffyDux @actuallyautistic my son took up skateboarding when he was around 13 and that has helped his balance and coordination no end. He's also a (very good) drummer. So what you say about hyperfixatation enhancing proprioception definitely holds true for him. He still falls over his feet going upstairs though

I wish people would stop
casually spouting anti-China things at me when I talk about China. (And I talk about it a lot cos I love ). Although I am not a CCP fan, I am STILL CHINESE and it sometimes feels freaking Sinophobic and hurts, OK?

You complain so much about Nazis but are OK with painting Chinese people in a bad light (namely they are brainwashed, have no agency etc).
Like, stop already.

@theautisticcoach @actuallyautistic I don't know what I am, but I know I'm not NT. I find a lot of my traits fit with ADHD but I share a lot of sensory and social issues with my autistic (disgnosed) son. I also realise how much I mask around NTs, I'm far more comfortable with autists and adhders (need a better word for that too!). I'm just getting comfortable calling myself ND, but open to alternatives. I like neurospicy, but coming from a scientific background that sounds a bit frivolous
