@michael So, a common trope is to say something like "I didn't have Farage getting a milkshake thrown at his face on my bingo card" to reference something unexpected that happened.
I’m just being very literal by listing off a thing on an actual bingo card, which is the number O71. This is implying I’m actually playing bingo, but they called O71 and I don't have it, but some other player named Gertrude did and Gertrude won the bingo game as a result. (Gertrude having been picked as a name since it's an "old lady" name and would be typical of a bingo player's name)
Modern-day dystopian version of the old game show called "You Bet Your Life" where you answer a question and if you get it right you get a million dollars and if you get it wrong you get executed on stage.
The best part about the game show is that the contestants get to leave the stage via a water slide whether they win or lose so it should be pretty fun to watch.
@KirstenAnne In my version, they get executed on stage and THEN go down the water slide. I just think the river of blood red water will add to the visual appeal, you know?
@adhdeanasl There's this '60s psychedelic song called "Mustache in your Face" by this band called Pretty and I will 100% be replacing Mustache with Milkshake from this point forward.
It's funny enough because the lyrics are "What a lie! What a lie! Mustache in your face!" (like it's the WORST threat they could think of) but it only gets better when you change it to "What a lie! What a lie! Milkshake in your face!"
It's a pretty solid song if anyone wants to listen.
By the way, two main reasons I am against quote posting on here:
Well, dunking and piling on
"Takei-ing" where a celebrity or their social media team quotes some actual good content, only adds "This!" or a catch phrase ("Oh my!") to the post and then reaps likes and boosts the original creator deserves.
@coffeepine I agree that quote-posting sometimes gets abused, but there are also reasonable use cases for it.
I have used quote-posting for two reasons:
I'm boosting an old post of my own because it's suddenly relevant again, but I also want to add context without editing the original post.
I'm boosting another post and want to include additional context, like when I was trying to help Claudia get her air conditioner replaced and wanted people to see the original message as well as my silly offer in exchange for people donating.
