Does anybody know of any good plain #text editors for #iOS? Would be nice to have rich text support but not necessarily. Something that would store and open files in the Files app?
Wild that we can’t really natively edit text files unless I’m missing something.
We don’t even need TextEdit. Just integrate the functionality into Files, Apple. 🙃
If you work with text data in R, the gregexpr() function is essential for pattern matching. It finds all occurrences of a pattern within a string. Key parameters include pattern, text, ignore.case, perl, fixed, and useBytes. You can match characters, ignore case, use advanced regex, and search fixed strings.

I think I'm going to start downloading #meme templates and making @GIMP template files for them.
I do wish there was an easier way to make the "white text, black outline" than just doing a "alpha selection + grow + fill" process. Definitely feels like one of those things that should be an option in the text tool or a plug-in, but I don't know how to make gimp plugins.
It will be in the stable version GIMP 3.0.0 when we'll release it (soonish! Originally planned for May though it may be June or during the summer, I guess).

Die Lektüre dies Buches aus dem Jahr 2018 erinnert mich an die Rolle von Chatnachrichten bei Korruption und Machtmissbrauch der Regierung #Kurz in Ö. Sprach da nicht eine Ministerin davon, dass der Handygebrauch von Politiker:innen reine Privatsache zu sein habe?
Sittenbild eines Landes in Chatnachrichten, so wie es Glukhovsky für #Putinland beschreibt. Frappant, wie sich die Methoden von Machtmissbrauch gleichen und Fiktion der Realität nahe kommt.

In seinem Inneren lag noch die Glückwunschkarte der Überbringerin, die nicht ahnen konnte, dass dass dieses politische Buch unerwünscht sein würde: #DmitryGlukhovsky's #Text. Aus dem Europaverlag, gebunden - einst teuer. Schnell wird ein Buch zum Freiwild.
Es liegt nun auf meinem Nachttisch, ist eine erhellende Lektüre über Putinland!
War jahrelang beruflich auf der #LBM zugegen. Begeistert haben mich dort die Bürger:innen, die das Event zu ihrem gemacht haben: ihr mitgebrachtes Essen in den Sitzecken inmitten der Bücherwelten verspeist haben, in Buchprospekten blätternd.
