🔎📚 The Conner CP3541 540MB IDE disk refuses to provide its disk image 😠 The system detects it and it spins, but not a single byte can be read - failed command: READ SECTOR(S). We suspect that the head is stuck.
🏠💿 Early CD drives (the SCSI model from IBM PS/2 Server 95 in the picture) often accepted the disc only in a special box called a caddy (which you might be more familiar with from MiniDiscs). We partially opened the drive in the picture because it decided it no longer wants to eject the caddy with the CD 😅
🧙♂️💿 ZuluSCSI™, equipped with the RP2040 chip, is a magic wand to enable systems that only support SCSI drives. It can emulate multiple hard drives and CD drives simultaneously. We are thrilled!
⌨️📺 The DEC VT100 is a historically significant computer terminal. It was available in Slovenia under the name KOPA d.d. 1000. We obtained our specimen in 2006, and it is in working condition, but it lacked a keyboard. Now we've tracked one down and hope to try it out soon! 💪
Discover insights from FOSDEM and Chaos Communication Congress, and engage in a dialogue about the inception of Slovenia's first cooperative dedicated to supporting FOSS. Join us at the next #Cyberpipe meeting at the museum on the 12th of February!
🐘 Recently, we welcomed the 🄳🄸🄶🄸🅃🄰🄻 AlphaServer 8400 5/440 into our collection. According to online information, it was considered a supercomputer in 1996 💪💪
Kuwait can transfer more than 100 M-84AB tanks to Ukraine via Croatia - Serbian TV.
Kuwait is considering the possibility of sending more than 100 M-84AB tanks to Croatia for overhaul and modernization at the plant of the local machine-building holding Đuro Đaković in the city of Slavonski Brod and their subsequent transfer to Ukraine.
It is possible that in addition to the Kuwaiti tanks, the tanks of the Croatian army will also enter Ukraine. #AureFreePress#Ukraine️ #Kuwait#news
"The transfer of #tanks to #Croatia has already begun; the first six M-84ABs have already been delivered to the country, and 👉trailers with tanks were spotted
moving towards Croatia 👈on January 25 in Barje, #Slovenia."
Day 5 - Hello #Ljubljana! Just arrived here in #Slovenia to spend a few more days in Europe after #fosdem, at a city and country I've never been before. As expected, the city looks quiet on a wintery Monday night, but I hope to explore it a bit over the next three days!
(any hints are welcome! and in the off-chance you're local and would like to say hello, let's make it happen!)
🟩🖥️ When we look at the motherboard for the IBM PC AT from 1984, we notice several interesting differences compared to modern ones:
🐘 Basic RAM is already included on it.
🧠 The 386 processor doesn't require any additional cooling.
🎓 For higher performance, a math coprocessor 80287 was needed.
⌨️ The only built-in peripheral connection is for the keyboard.
⌨⬛ This is the NeXT computer. Tim Berners-Lee and Robert Cailliau used it at CERN to set up the first web server, id Software developed games like Doom and Quake on it, and at Slovenian daily newspaper Delo they used it to digitize the entire newspaper production process.
🔴📺 Sinclair ZX Spectrum has also found its place in our showcase, alongside a cool red retro TV. 😍 The total length of our exhibition showcases is an impressive 50 meters. 💪
