One of the photos from our hike through the #gleirschklamm near #Scharnitz . I finalized the #photos already - yet I'm struggling a bit with video-or-not.
Anyways, I like how the stream winds through the photo. I had to work a bit on the rock on the left so that it doesn't just look like a huge boring block.
I hope you feel both the strong stream but also the calm atmosphere of the moment.
#CowParsnip is the ONLY #Heracleum species that's native to #NorthAmerica. There's many look-a-likes including the very toxic giant hogweed. I don't recommend trying to #forage & harvest them unless you're very experienced with identifying differences because it's dangerous to do so.
Photo is a bettong that has been caught by researchers. The good news is their population has maybe tripled over the last few years in Australia's largest nature preserve that is free of introduced predators - it has 45km (28mi) of 1.8m (just under 6') tall fencing to keep it that way. Just 3 years ago they were reintroduced to...
It's been a grey old day, so much so I couldn't find the motivation to go out. But at 4pm I thought I'd just take a stroll round the Local reserve (Summer Leys), not expecting any/many photo opportunities. But I saw a few interesting things and had a go at capturing them with an ounce of over exposure.
This one is ' Three Wise Long-tailed tit Juveniles'
Spent some time hanging out with some blue #damselflies at the lake before coming back home 😊
Damselflies have existed since the Late #Jurassic period & found on every continent except Antarctica. Presence of damselflies & the larger dragonflies, indicates a healthy #ecosystem.
Getting back to nature, there are two autumn trees, a welcoming campfire that not only offers a seat by the fire but it invites you to follow the light that leads to the sun setting over the cityscape far off in the distance.
May the artwork take you to a place of great beauty and majesty, one in which you feel watched over by a benevolent force of goodness, truth, and peace.
Not the best pic but my first of the Eastern towhee👍
Been hearing them the past two years but not had a chance to photograph. Very cute birds and I ran across it while it was singing its heart out so I got to watch its behavior for a while. Awesome first encounter 🙂

Generally, there are no signs on country back roads barring the "Warning: Primitive Road Ahead," in which case you probably don't want to go much further in a regular car.
But if you don't see that sign, keep going, see what you see, maybe pull over to the side, step out of the vehicle, take a good stretch, and listen for the subtle sounds of the rural landscape.
#YellowRattle is used proactively to create & restore wildflower meadows, where it aids #biodiversity by suppressing dominant grasses & recycling of #soil nutrients. This improves chances of other species of wildflowers becoming established.
